Lagging in games

I was playing fortnite when i started experiencing lag. My pc was only using 1mbps of wifi. I am on 5G now and am about 60ft away from the router with a bathroom, bedroom and a floor between me and the router. if i connect to 2.4 g my speed is much lower when i run a test. Any ideas?

Wifi, just started happening too. i have a Asus rt-AC88u

you might need to get a better WIFI card or better ethernet cable. if you are using wifi, try getting a range extender and a ethernet cable, thats what I use

ok, try updating driver, and change dns settings. What is your old vs new ping

seems to be working fine now, is there any benefit of a pcie wifi card.. just wondering.

I dont know much but, try geting a long ethernet cable, wifi extender with ethernet port and plug an ethernet cable into that and pc(what I use and it isnt too expensive), or do what you do now and maybe get a pci wifi card(I dont know much about those).
