Would 5600x help more or is 6 cores not enough upgrade to be worth it? I was thinking of getting 8 cores but idk if 3700x or 5800x.

I do new nvenc streaming.

if overwatch, 5600x is more than enough

but if u wanna ensure a good experience while streaming, 5800x is a good choice for extra headroom

the cores of 7700k isnt that strong, compared to cores nowadays

I currently have an i7 7700 at 4.2k ghz with 3000 mhz ram and a 3070 and I have some trouble getting stable 220 fps and above. Do I need to upgrade my ram/cpu or just get a new cpu cooler to oc it?

and yes I know the cpu is old but it's ow :D

Well if usage of both should tell that story. Doubt an oc will do anything as it rarely does for real world scenarios on that regard.
But I’m sure someone can post a YouTube video of that same setup doing 300 frames without an issue as they usually do.

Main RIg Lian Li O11 MINI, I7 9900k, ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero, G.Skill Ripjaws 3600 32GB, 3090FE, EVGA 1000G5, Acer Nitro XZ3 2560 x 1440@240hz

Spare RIg Lian Li O11 AIR MINI, I7 4790K, Asus Maximus VI Extreme, G.Skill Ares 2400 32Gb, EVGA 1080ti, 1080sc 1070sc & 1060 SSC, EVGA 850GA, Acer KG251Q 1920x1080@240hz

Monitor the usage of both CPU and GPU

If GPU is pinned at 99%, maybe turn down settings

If CPU is constantly above 80% in one thread, whole gpu isn't pinned at 99%, then it's probably CPU limited and you'll need a CPU upgrade if you want more than 220 fps

Being CPU limited can cause frame pacing issues too, so it's undesirable esp if you're competitive

I don't think any of them is pinned at 99 because I play on lowest settings and 75% render scale for best fps.

cpu seldom pins at 99%, as long as a single thread is consistently above ~80%, and gpu isnt at above 95%, it's most likely a cpu bottleneck

or game is badly optimised

cpu is at 60% and gpu is at 50% cpu core 1 is around 70%

bottle neck means I need to oc more? I thought the i7 7700k could handle all gpus but tbf I don't oc much with my 212 evo.

Is this a good deal?
i9 9900k, corsair hydro H100x, asus strix z390, corsair 2x8gb ram at 3200 mhz cl 16

for 800 euros? a pc store is selling that upgrade bundle seems like I save 60 euros

Maybe ryzen is cheaper/better not sure.

you can make a new thread in new builds and planning subforum, people might be able to come up with a better build for your money

im not familiar with pc pricing nowadays, heh
