ASUS VG249 Backlight bleeding

DarkMPaG

I bought today the ASUS VG249 and i noticed when its displaying a dark screen i noticed some Backlight bleed on the top of the monitor.
Do you guys think its worth exchanging it? Or i will need to be very lucky to get something better than this?

You could try if your store allows, but that looks more like IPS glow which is considered normal for monitors just like dead pixels. So in terms of a RMA from ASUS, you have a slim chance since this would not be considered a defect.

Thanks, since it's the first IPS monitor i bought i was having my doubts, i was already expecting having some. Just questioning if i could have more luck if i returned it. At the start i was more worried with dead pixels than this.

Still i decreased brightness now to 25 and seemed almost unnoticeable.

I too have notice a very noticeable bleed, worst than my old VC239. I might be accepting this if they're all equal just like my old one but its not and its annoying me
But since its "normal" nowadays on IPS monitors I'll accept it. Even on their website they say that it's normal so maybe it will be no sense of returning it unless it has defects
