new AMD CPU build help

MoputBeatz

Budget (including currency): $1600 USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: light gaming, mostly music production and internet browsing.  Music software needs 16GB RAM and a damn good processor.

Other details no peripherals are needed, upgrading from a shitty dell inspiron, looking to buy next year by Q2, I have a 1080p/144hz monitor but I am gonna get a 1440p/144hz later next year.

I already have a 1080ti from a relative so that is why there is no GPU included and it isn;t in the budget

If you are buying next year then I would ask for build advice next year as prices and availability will be completely different as they are now.

Also the 5800x is very pointless cpu as the 5900x for 100 bucks more is way more worth it or save some money and get the 5600x. The price of the 5800x is just too high for what it is tbh compared to AMDs other offerings.

Yeah I have no idea how your programs scale with multiple cores but the 5900x is great if you have good scaling but if you don't then the 5600x still gives you that excellent single threaded performance for a much better price than the 5800x. Honestly don't know why anyone would want to buy the 5800x when the 5900x is only 100 dollars more and if you don't need that many cores then you would just save 150 bucks and get the 5600x.
