Upgrading SSD Storage

josh310

I am thinking of buying a new samsung 860 evo 500gb SSD. I'm not sure if my pc can handle it. Could I get clarification.

I currently have a samsung 850 evo 250gb SSD and a Seagate barracuda 1TB HDD. (Both are quite full)

PC specs:

i5 6500

asus gtx 1060 6gb

2x4gb hyperx fury ddr4 ram

msi B150M mortar arctic motherboard

If the Samsung 860 Evo 500GB SSD you're looking to buy is just a SATA SSD, it'll work the same as your existing 250GB SSD does now. As long as you have a free SATA port, plug it in and away you go.
