Upgrading cpu

Hey! Since Christmas is coming up, i wanted to upgrade my rig a little! I was wondering if it is worth it to upgrade my ryzen 7 2700x with something like a r7 3700x. I am not sure if i should upgrade my cpu, or buy a new pc case ( mine has pretty bad airflow) and some other things like a cpu cooler ( i have the stock one). I have a rtx 2070 super so i would guess there wouldnt be much bottlenecking with a r7 3700x. I dont really play demanding games, but when i want to play something a little more demanding, i get pretty low fps and i dont know if changing my cpu would do much

What are your temperatures right now? Hopefully it's not so bad that it's actually thermal throttling on either the CPU or GPU side. If that's the case, upgrading the CPU isn't really going to give you the boost that you're looking for.

Right now, my cpu is running about 60-70 degrees in most games. Its not extremely hot, but i thought it would increase its life span just a little. My gpu on the other hand is running pretty hot when im playing something like Warzone, but in most cases its about 50-70 degrees.
