3700x enough?

Hi,

 

So currently I am buying my PC and I have everything other then the CPU currently.

 

So I have

 

16GB 3600Mhz DDR4

B550 Motherboard

Dark Rock Pro 4

Case

750W PSU

3080

 

My goal is high FPS 1080p 165 hz till around March and then 1440p 144hz (Around 144 FPS for smoothest experience on competitive games such as cod warzone ect)

 

I am going to be editing a bit this year and rendering so I decided this was the best fit for my budget of £300 any opinions or help with a better CPU or even insight on how this will be as Im aware there's like 10%+ bottleneck which I don't think will be much of an issue as the card will give 144+ always anyhow.

Very unlikely for the UK stock currently is horrible and I wouldn't be able to get my hands on one till around Febuary. The 3700x will do I think as 1440p the CPU is compared to a I7 9700K and has practically the same performance.

If you need a pc now a 3700 is good enough if you can wait then a 5600x.

I need it right now. 3700x literally has no difference in performance at 1440p then an i9 so I should be a OKAY. Cheers anyhow.
