This has been happening since I got this laptop; the alt, shift, and control keys don't release until i press another key. For example, I press the "Shift" key, and wait 15 minutes, and type, "Hi" The first letter is automatically capitolized -- shift isn't pressed down though. Does anyone know a fix to this?

Oh! That's a rather weird problem. Never had that one before. It could be a driver issue, that'd be my guess. But since it's happening on your laptop you'd have to find the appropriate driver for it.

EDIT: Forgot to ask, what's the make and model of your laptop?

The problem is, it looks like Acer has already dropped support for my laptop model (Acer Aspire V5-552G-8632).

EDIT: OS Running Windows 8.1 64-Bit

Okay, thanks. I'll have a good look for ya mate!

The problem doesn't appear to be sticky keys related. I've tinkered with it, turning it on and off, turning off select settings, although it did not affect my issue.

Hmm, when did you buy this laptop?

I've had it for about 8 months.

Hmm, okay.

Good news! I found the drivers for your laptop. They're located here » (http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers).

All you have to do is select the following from the list:

Thanks, I had forgot to input "UltraThin" When searching for my model. The issue is, I'm on Windows 8.1, which has a lack of drivers, and I've already install them all.

Well, one can only try. Give them a whirl and see how ya go. :D

There shouldn't actually be that much difference between Windows 8 vs 8.1 drivers because it's pretty much the same OS.

I'm a little bit scared to do any thing else related to my graphic drivers, it was a hassle getting them to work, and it completely messed up my laptop before. I will probably cope to the problem until I find a safe fix.

Thanks for your efforts in helping! :)
