Help with pro controller on linux

I use Manjaro 5.9.3-1 and tried getting motion input on my switch pro controller to work with joycond and now they don't get recognized at all.

When I plug them in I only get the red charging light and nothing more, no programs seem to be able to see or talk to it

I have reinstalled hid-nintendo and updated the kernel a few times trying to fix this to no avail.
