Budget (including currency): 15 000 NOK - 1650 USD

Country: Norway

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games

Other details:

Hardware i won't replace right now:

SSD's and HDD:

i have 2 SSD's 180GB and 1TB and 3TB HDD. Might be getting a M2 in the future.

Asus 1070 TI:

Planning to upgrade GPU and maybe monitor in 1-2 year, Currently sitting on a 1080 144hz so feel like i won't need to upgrade from my 1070TI yet.

1000W PSU Evga SUPERNOVA G3

My goal is a futureproof system that hopefully can last me 8-9 years with maybe a GPU update or two.

Thinking of going full AMD so i can use "smart access memory" when i potentially upgrade to an AMD GPU.

Need help understanding x570 vs B550.

- Is B550 just a cheaper and a budget version of x570 ?

- This means x570 would be the better choice when trying to build a more future proof computer, even tho its a little more expensive?

Will be needing to use WiFi. Going over to cable in the future, but since it require some construction work from my side its not a prio atm.

My current plan

Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2

A bit confused about the diffrence between Meshify 2 and S2 Meshify.

Will be replacing the fans that comes with this case with Noctua A14's

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5000X

Know this might be overkill for games atm, 5600x might look like the better Value, but afraid it will struggle in the future.

5800x is quite close to 5900x in price so when spending this much allready, why not ?

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 Chromax.Black

This require me to use low profile ram, and from what i understand that also means CL16 is not obtainable

Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaiming X570-PLUS (Wi-Fi)

From my understanding this motherboard does not have USB-c ?

Memory: Corsair Vengance LPX 32G (4 x 8GB) DDR4-3600 CL18

Been reading that zen 3 benefits in some cases having 4 ram sticks over 2. 4x8 better than 2x16 ?

Even tho 4000mhz has been mentioned as the sweetspot for zen 3, when testing 3600/3733mhz seems to be the real sweetspot. Is this true ?

Open to all suggestions 😃

Been thinking that maybe going for Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360/420 is better so i dont have to compromise on ram.

-Altho never dealt with AiO before. From what i read you get best preformance having the radiator in front with fans pulling air.

-Does this mean i will need to install some fans pushing air out to even out the airflow ? Or is having 3x120 pull and 1x140 push good enough ?

What ram is currently considered best for a 5900x

Is G.Skill Ripjaws 2x16 3600mhz CL16 Decent ?
