Hello guys!

I got a z800 workstation from HP and I am interested about using an nvidia TITAN.

I am not sure if it is going to work.

In the pdf manual (http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13278_na/13278_na.PDF) it is stated that

the computer is meant to be used with quadro cards. I would like to know if It is going to work a single titan

(or a titan + the quadro fx3800 that I already have).

I want the titan only for computations so It might be possible to use it as a GPUCPU but I've never done this before.

Any thoughts?

Yeah

The inside of the machine is huge.

I am worried about "drivers" and this stuff. Also the motherboard has pcie 2 (but it was forward/backwards compatible right?)

Besides the motherboard  supports quadro SLI but it says nothing about geforce SLI (though I have no plans for a double titan).

Has anyone mixed quadro and geforce cards? One for the monitor and the other for computations only?
