Sennheiser Game Zero replacement!

Hello friends!

 

You have helped me a lot before with my build, and the pc is running somewhat smooth. But! I think it's about time I get a new headset.

It's not like my Game Zero is broken or anything, but it has passed the 5 year mark and the second pair of replacement ear pads has come to an end.

So instead of buying yet another pair of ear pads, I was thinking about maybe getting a new headset.

I freaking LOVE the sound of my Game Zero and from what I have heard the mic is pretty amazing.

Now it is time for you guys, to hit me up with suggestions. What should I look into and possibly buy? The sound has to be as good if not better and it's important that the mic is atleast at the same level.

 

I am running a Asus Xonar U5 usb soundcard to get most of my headset.

In DKK around 1500. I think it's around 240 USD. But I am willing to go higher if the right headset comes up.

At that point, you'll probably be looking into the high end headphone space. Game zeroes are really well known for being some of the better options for headsets and that's where the line kind of is.

 

Is that something you'd be interested in? A pair of headphones and a desk/modmic

I don't really know. Maybe?

I have tried some of the "low-high-end" Sennheiser headphones, like the HD 660S and HD 560S. But I didn't feel like the sound was just "right". And I feel like I probably want a headset with just a cable on one side.

After hearing the voice coms from League of Legends Worlds 2020 I really wanted a pair of Bose QC35 II Gaming. That way I would both be able to use them for my pc and also for my phone. The mic on that pair is absolutely insane. But they are not for sale in Denmark or EU in general and probably wont be for a long time..

If you liked the game zeros so much Sennheiser has some other headphones. Maybe have a look at there product range. They've recently rebranded the gaming headset and released some new models. 


The Bose QC35 gaming does sound like a good option. The normal version of the headphones are very popular and well reviewed.
