I don't know if I should wait until zen 3 or if I should buy now, I read somewhere that current cpus aren't worth buying now because they bottleneck at 4k.

i think this is somewhat true as when you scale to higher resolutions, it becomes more gpu bound. don't quote me on this though

not exactly true, if i were you i would buy a good b550 board, a 5800x if you can find one, and then when you need to upgrade get the 5900 or 5900x, zen 3 is probably gonna stay relevant for quite a while

im currently using the b550 pro from gigabyte and havent had any issues with it
