I've been experiencing these bugs while at YouTube and also playing a game. I have a Dell 4x3 20" with DVI plugged in and a 24" Dynex TV and using the HDMI on that.

While I start a Video on YouTube, I've been getting this weird flicker of black lines and it was different locations and different thicknesses and it goes away within less then a second. This happens at the beginning and end of the videos on the Dell but doesn't on the Dynex. The Dynex sometimes goes off (dropped signal) and back on but on a less frequent basis.

Also when I play games I get this horrible lock up in video freezes and after my game stops producing graphics and locks up with audio stuttering and then all the graphics get released after  10 to 60 seconds go by.

(Everything is up to date for the sound and video)

With the age of the video card, would it be good thought to buy a new graphics card be a smart idea before this one goes?

I would try uninstalling all of the video drivers, use driver sweeper, then reinstall

Ok, I'll end up doing all that on the weekend, a reseat with a driver clean up and reinstall, but I might end up doing a dusting to cause its been awhile since its been cleaned.

I'll post back with the results.

Thanks for the input.

I'm reporting back to say that the dedusting, reseating and driver sweeper and reinstall of the drivers didn't fix the problem. I guess I'll save up for a new card or whole new system.

Any other suggestions are still welcomed though.
