BIOS/Firmware

Hello,

 

I was looking for some help in regards to my ASUS Prime Z370-P and i7-8700K

 

 

my current version of bios is below

BIOS Version/Date    American Megatrends Inc. 0612, 01/03/2018
 

I checked on the ASUS website and it looks like I am 13 firmwares behind, would this cause any issues?

 

if so, how do I go about installing the updates, do I install all 13 in order or just the current newest one? 

 

I was looking to get some info on my CPU, where I would check my current CPU firmware?

You only need to download Version 2401 2019/07/18. I would say it's definitely worth it since you're so far behind. Extract the zip file onto an empty USB drive and go through bios to update.

You do not have to install the bios's in order. You can go directly to the most current bios with Asus boards.

 

Cpu-Z motherboard tab will tell you what revision bios is installed.

 

If the flash fails, the motherboard disk has a recovery bios on it.
