Hey, I'm kinda confused by the bitcoin website on how to set stuff up and i can just bitcoin mine with any computer right? can someone spell me out an easy way to start bitcoin mining? with a list of all the software I'll need and all of that. thanks.

OP just google for guides there are tons of them out there, and many that explain how to do it far better than any of us can.

I'm assuming you don't have asic miners, so don't mine bitcoin but litecoin or some other coin
