router parallel i

kinkywink

did a quick google and nothing came up for what i wanted...

im doing a wan technologies and components assessment in my computer class

i know a router is use to combine the ips of multiple computers on a lan, but is it possible to use a router and connect that by wire to a modem? or is it just router to router??

an example of what i mean is like this

modem <                                                                          >modem                      used on floor 1

modem < ------router <----------cable--------> router ------ >modem                      used on floor 2

modem <                                                                          >modem                      used on floor 3

or am i just stuff myself over?

Well yeah of course they can. What you find is that most modems function as both, but you can have a model connect over a cable technology and essentially bridge said technology to an ethernet.

So the answer is yes, of course.
