I have an old HDD that was laying around and wanted to repurpose it but i forgot to add a primary partition after cleaning.

Is there any way to add a letter to a hard drive (make it recognizable) that has been 'cleaned' in cmd but wasn't set to have a primary partition?

I can't create a simple volume or interact with the unallocated partition whatsoever because it isn't currently recognizable.

I am currently reinstalling Windows 10 onto that drive (since there's no OS on it now) to replicate what i did and add a primary partition, (redo what i did without making the mistake).

If i run into it being unallocated again i will try this, thanks.

Working just fine after i reinstalled and formatted ntfs.

Who would've known that 'active' was a command?
