Technically could, and if you have since removed the magnet and have the mic still doesn't work then you can imply that it has since broken your mic.

When i picked up my headset i saw my microphone lieng on one a realy small magnet.

now my mic does not work anymore is it possible that it broke thanks to the magnet ?

thanks i went beck to store and told them it didnt work anymore and they replaced it but still thanks for the responce.

i removed all the magnets near me so this could not happen again
