GPU signal is gone

The easy way is to unplug the power cord, then find the battery on the motherboard.

Remove the battery, note the orientation of the battery so you know how to put it back correctly.

While the battery is out and with the power cord still disconnected, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.

Then put the battery back in, correctly. Because you noted previously which way it was oriented, right?

Then plug the power back in.

Then hope it boots.

I am currently writing this on integrated graphics with my GPU sitting on a table beside me. A few days ago, I had a hard drive issue and tried to use the dell uefi's secure boot feature. Whenever I did this, however, my screen went black and the LED indicator on the monitor went from white meaning active to yellow meaning idle or no signal. Following this, I hard-reset the pc by holding the power button and allowed for a full power cycle. Nothing. I removed and reinstalled the GPU, nothing either. The GPU is receiving power, at the very least, because the fan is still working. It hasn't shown any sign of degradation in the days leading up to this, either. I don't think I am still in secure boot mode. My motherboard is a Dell custom sorta board, one from a slimline Dell Optiplex 9010, and is MATX. I do not know the specific model number. The GPU is a PNY GTX 460 1GB GDDR5.

So it works with the integrated video but not the GTX 460? Is this correct?

You might try clearing the bios, if that still wont help the GPU work, its probably safe to say its bad.

How would I go about doing that? In the UEFI (dell motherboard, yknow) it says PCIe is enabled, but I'm not sure if that can still disable a display adapter
