Dragon Center Problems

My dragon center hardware monitor keeps saying that my CPU is at 0 C and it keeps slowing down my fans. When I go into Bios my fans seem to be working properly but I really don't know what caused this I've fix it once but it was after clearing cmos but then it just happened again after I shut down my PC and turned it on the next morning. Any details on what it could be is helpful. Thanks

Is the bios up to date?

Are you using the latest version of Dragon Center? (are you sure? 🙂 )

 

Whats the hardware background?

Did you build this?

How old is it?

What CPU, mobo, ect

I have a

Ryzen 7 3700x

MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon Wifi

Crucial Ballistix 16gb 3200mhz

Insignia 550w

 

I Built it about a month ago and I haven't had any problems with it until now. Also I had updated the Bios to the latest version and I just recently reinstalled dragon center so I believe it is the latest one.

Download HDiNFO and see if it reports it correctly. - https://www.hwinfo.com/

 

How to create a log:
Open HWiNFO and in the bottom right there is an icon that looks like a spreadsheet with a green plus on it.
Click that button to start logging, the green plus will switch to a red X to let you know its saving data. 
It will also ask you for a file name and where to save it. I save them to my desktop, name it whatever you want.
Let it run for a few moments or until the machine locks up, resets, or does whatever its not supposed to do,
Then click the spreadsheet again so the red X turns back to a green +.
You now have a log file.

 

How to view the log file:
You can view the log using the GenericLogViewer addon here https://www.hwinfo.com/add-ons/
Download, extract, run GenericLogViewer.exe, click the open file button in the top right and point it to the log file you made above.
Use the dropdown in the upper right to choose which category to view

That temp looks right, but might not be the same signal that dragon center is monitoring.

I want to dig through them.

 

Also, do you know how to boot into safe mode?

Can you boot to safe mode and see if it works correctly?

Yes sorry for the very late reply, but is this what you meant by sharing the file? Also went into safe mode and it had no difference.

No, it should be a .CSV file.

 

When you open HWiNFO, choose the option for Sensors only, and if prompted, hit continue. 
Also if prompted, do not download the beta version.

Well this is fun.

hdinfo doesnt report any temperatures either.

I included 2 screenshots, one of your logs, and one that shows temperatures.

 Notice how your logs dont include core temps?

 

This is yours, notice the dropdown has no options for core temp, its usually the first thing on each core.

Have you reseated your CPU yet?

Well my bad, i forgot Ryzens report the cpu temps as a package, not individual cores.

You can see in the dropdown there are a bunch of temps listed and they are there and look ok.

So i think we are looking at a Dragon Center problem.

Let me look into that and see what else i can find.

You might try creating another windows profile and see if it happens in that profile also.

You sure there is not some other hardware monitoring software running?
