Hy everyone, my friend and I put toghter a PC a couple months ago and since last week I been having problems with him. Once I started the PC he makes this nois like a loud finger snap and reboots normally, this happened at least 8 times now and don't happen every day, seems like  random. I've been trying to figure out what could it be.

Specs: TUF gaming b550 plus wi-fi

Ryzen 5 3600x

Hyperx predator 2x8gb 3200 mhz

Galax GTX 1660 super EX

Crucial bx500

Seagate barracuda 1tb hd

Corsair cx650

do you have a friend's PSU to test?

 

your system is like 300 watts, so not a big stress on a 650 watt PSU, you might want to see if there is a visible spark or flash inside the PSU when you turn it on

There is an inrush current relay that "clicks" when you turn on the PSU.  Is there a reason to believe that's not what the sound is?
