Yes 500W is plenty for your system.

i run a Ryzen 2700 with OC and a RTX 2080 super on a 550W PSU without any problems so you will be fine.

Yes 500W is plenty for your system.

i run a Ryzen 2700 with OC and a RTX 2080 super on a 550W PSU without any problems so you will be fine.

wattage is good, quality is not. That is either tier C or tier D psu (only for office or apu systems)

 

your system will pull around 300w but that psu is a fire hazard. replace it first. Take a psu that is atleast tier B psu form this list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psucultists-psu-tier-list/

Do you already have the Ryzen 5 3400G?

 

The 5700XT, if it's the 8+6 PCi-E power version and not a custom 8+8, can draw a max of 300W over 12V (not counting voltage spikes).

8+8 adds 75W on top of that.

 

The 12V rail is the most used rail in a modern system. The motherboard, CPU, SSD-s and HDD-s, Fans - everything runs off the 12V.

 

Your PSU is able to handle up to 456W on 12V. Lower than that if it's a few years old (capacitor degradation).

 

Under heavy load there might be instabillities if voltage spikes happen.

 

Also, the 3400G would bottleneck a 5700XT unless running 4K or 1440p ultrawide. You'd need a better CPU.

What exactly do you have and what's your upgrade/build budget?

How much ram and what frequency? Screen resolution?

I can recommend the optimal upgrade path if you provide enough info.

Dual Monitor (1320 x 768 and 3840 x 2160)

 

Budget maybe around 300 to 400?

And are you going to play on tha 4K? Is that a 4K TV or a 4K monitor? Or do you game on the 1360x768 screen?

Yes, a 4k mointor.

 

If i will play 4k? well, depends. I play mostly FPS (Valorant, Warzone) Path of Exile. Diablo 4 soon. 1080p gaming. I never exoerienced 1440p yet like really.

And i will not OC anything. Thats why im so torn. some say i should but a higher PSU than 500w for 5700xt or 2060s.

 

 

i want to really maximize it. :(
