What the Old Tech?

So my deal is I do pc repair and building for old tech if people don’t have the money to spare.    I just got given this all in 1 carry along word processor from back in the early 90’s.   It’s pretty spec’d out 3.5“ floppy, Full working printer, A monochrome screen that’s actually really bright for the time.

And it can do everything a Microsoft suit can from back then, though I think it runs it’s own OS. It runs amazingly fast for the time and has a faster boot up time than most windows 10 machines.

I have found files Dating from early 1995 on it, but can’t quite work out when it was made.

I have tonnes of old old tech like this I’ve been given over the years, and I’d love to see if anyone else here has any cool old tech, or if actually knows if this machine is any good,

Those are quite fun, I have a couple, although they aren't quite this new and are more just basic word processors with printers and batteries.

Slightly unrelated, but would you be willing to take a keycap off? I'm curious what switches this has.

Quote me to see my reply!

I have my girlfriend's grandmother's old Windows 98 laptop, and my grandfather's old Pentium 4 PC that was used for 10+ years. Messing with old hardware is nice and therapeutic

That’s cool, to my knowledge this ones batteries are passed their use date as I get nothing with it.

And sure thing, I’ve attached a picture of the switches underneath

Oh wow, that’s nice. And couldn’t agree more, coming from the guy who own a stack of 95/98/ME/XP laptops that’s almost as tall as his leg at this point, I agree it’s super therapeutic.

Retro tech is such a laugh at times, although way more buggy, it’s just fun to see what people did with the limited space back in the day

I litteraly have no clue why it’s done like that, the XXX will be an example of how to use it, like U has its xxx underlined.

However It won’t connect to the internet so it would be pointless anyway.
