Oh no. Safe mode log in issue

Go to solution Solved by xAcid9,

You need to set a password before you can set pin iirc.

Anyway, you gonna need Cmd Prompt to remove safeboot option. Run

bcdedit /deletevalue {default} safeboot

One way to access CMD Prompt is via Windows Installer. (Press F10)

So I went to ddu my display in safe mode.

Since shift +power/restart wasn't working. I decided to change the boot setting in msconfig. I would just change it back when I was finished. So I set it to safe mode with networking.

I am wired.

I have a pin set

When entering window. The log in screen is asking for a password and not my pin. Further more there is no network available only airplane mode.

Since I change to safe mode in msconfig i cannot seem to leave safe mode and I am stuck at the log in screen for safe mode.

Win 10 btw

I guess not. I don't even recall setting one. But all ow that I would have set don't work.... I would change it but it doesn't matter as the system doesn't see any network.

I have a recent restore point.

I'm on 1909.

Start up repair failed

Would an update to 2004 fix it? Or should I try a restore point?
