Apex legends settings issues

I have been having issues with Apex legends, since the new event update the settings revert or set themselves to what they like occasionally, every 2 days or so, it's favorite is to max the settings but only allow 3 gb of vram causing very bad performance if I forget to change them again, as well as the new performance display not staying on, anyone know a fix for this?
