Hey guys, so I have a little problem here. I have an old HTC Droid Incredible 2, that I rooted years ago. Well  a few years ago when this was my dayily driver, it displayed an error picture. Because it was so long I don't remember what it was, but I do remember I pulled the battery, and rebooted and all went well for a couple days until it did it again. Repeat process and it happened again and again, until it eventually got to the point where it won't boot. I can get it to boot to the HTC screen, but it locks there. I can get to the boot loader, and go to recovery, then it takes me to clockword Mod. I then tried to boot recovery with that, but every time it tries to boot it locks at the HTC screen. I don't have the SD card for it anymore, but I can find one for it if needed. Is there anyway somebody can help me I really miss this phone, and hate my iPhone.

Have you tried clearing the cache?

If that doesn't work, wipe cache/dalvik cache and install the rom again and do a cache wipe again and reboot.

Choose the CM folder itself.

Make sure you get the Gapps installer too that coincides with the version of android that the CM installer represents.

Are you sure cm was installed successfully, the recovery also will be updated since you have an old version so flash twice and wip data/factory rest fix permissions/wip cash/dalvik cash on each flash. be sure also that you have enough space for flashing the rom. you can mount your usb storage through recovery

Well I downloaded two versions of CM, one of them failed, the other one said it worked but no change. I'm going to try to download a third version to see if that works. When it's on recovery, it shows up as an unrecognizable USB.

How do you copy the ROM to your phone then?download the drivers for your phone if u haven't yet and I think that you need to be rooted before installing cm...you can also post on XDA forum there are a lot of devs and expertise on your device section

Try also this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1599767

Via USB, and unfortunately the download link on the xda forum goes to a 404 error.

I didn't check xda but I would check for a version that a lot of rommer's vouch is relatively stable to boot. Just recently my Ville wouldn't boot with anything newer than a certain date. It wasn't for a few months that people started having the same issue.

Also check your md5 or at least download size, I've been stumped by an impartial download before.

Maybe try updated recovery, reinstall known good rom, fix permissions, wipe and power off with the recovery menu. Then power on to see if it works. My Ville bootloops if I hit reboot from recovery.

Otherwise you may have bad storage. 8(

Well I did find a working download from the xda link, but still no nice. I also posted for some help on the xda page last night and still nothing. I've tried different versions of everything I put on there, I've done all I can think of at this point, I'm starting to think it would be easier to buy a new one.

If you did everything correctly, then you probably have a bad or out of space storage as Katano said.I don't know if coping the ROM to a external micro SD and flashing from there would help, try it if you can and format every thing you can from storage if you don't have significant data there.
