So I moved recently, and I decided I have an empty space in front of my couch that a TV should probably fill. I also decided I'm too much of a tech nerd to get a product I think has deficiencies it shouldn't, so I'm gonna waste some money on an OLED. Looking at the LG 55" BX, since I don't need it to be huge, but I want decent HDR, 120Hz with adaptive sync and eARC, and good latency.

Right now it's "on sale" for $1,800 CAD. Do you think that's actually a good sale, or will prime day and/or black Friday push it lower? I don't need it this second, so if there's good reason to expect it to drop more before the end of the year I will, but I also don't want to miss out on saving 200 bucks if this is actually a "good deal" in the buildup to prime day.

Some guidance from people more attuned to the TV market would be appreciated, it is not really my wheelhouse.

I own two B9s.

I prefer the B series LG OLED TVs because in a showroom I can't tell the difference in picture quality compared to the C series.

The BX uses the same processor as the B9 and they are less bright than the Cs but if I am in Windows with HDR on I find the B9 so bright that it hurts my eyes.

HDR in Youtube videos is stunning.

If I needed a third TV I would get the BX but I would wait for the week before black Friday since LG usually knocks off another $100 on the price.
