So essentially when i play certain games, my computer turns the peripherals and the monitor off, i turn my pc off and try to turn it back on and it sorta goes through a cycle of the fans turning on for a second or 2 and then turn off and the pc doesnt boot, ive already rulled out the gpu, as ive done tests both ending with that same result.

My specs i3-9100f,

Msi Gtx 1080 armor 8gb.

16 gb ram x2 Corsair vengeance sticks

4 fans.

Wd black 500gb nvme ssd

120 sata ssd

500gb hdd

650w coolermaster power supply.

Im not sure what the problem is

Typically the PSU is at fault here. It can't provide enough power during high demand, and things start failing

unless the PSU is faulty of course.

That's what I am leaning towards here

Because of that section. The video card cant get enough power, so it shuts down and th emonitor then of course goes dark.

A new (or known good) PSU is easy to start with, troubleshooting a bad mobo is harder to do

i have had boards in the past where the VRM has been dodgy and has caused the machine to shut down during use. hard to tell without starting to swap components out

Hard to swap out VRMs 😉

Looking back, the OP didn't specify which mobo he had, so that could also be an issue.
