So I just switched back to an older case I had and The computer turns on where I can go to bios, gpu is working as far as I know at the moment, etc... Ive been using this computer for about five years now, possibly more. The problem i'm not having is that I have a raid 0 between two 500gb ssd's. But now one of them is sort of being recognized but it will not boot into windows. Both the ssd's will show up in the sata information but not in the boot priority. Only one shows up in the boot priority. When it goes into the raid screen, it'll say boot failed, bootable: no. One of the ssd's will be a member of the raid, the other will say non-member. both read the same gb size.

I'm not exactly sure what to do at this point. Did some setting change when I was switching the components to a different case?

for reference, my set up:

Asus z97 ws mobo

4690k

24gb memory (16 patriot, 8 corsair)

512gb sandisk ssd

512gb crucial ssd (one that shows up under the boot priority)

corsair ax1200 psu

not sure what else is relevant other then I was running windows 10

Again, I never tried to reinstall anything. I literally just tried swapping components to different case. I took pictures before I did it to ensure the sata cables were plugged back into the right place.

another note. When I unplug the ssd that does show up in the boot priority, nothing comes up aside from "IBA GE Slot 00C8 v1547). But that has always showed up. Also the sandisk (one that doesn't show up in the boot priority) says according to windows is the member of the raid. The crucial in the non-member which is the one that shows up in the boot priority.

So all and all, I have no clue what to do at this point. I just moved so I can't find my flash drive with my windows on it to just reinstall. I am giving that option after hitting crtl+I in the windows raid screen. I can delete the raid, and two others. Can't remember them. But I can do 2,3, and 4 on that list. 1 is create a new raid, and can't remember 5 or 6.

Any idea whats going on. Sorry for running on. Just frustrated with this at the moment. Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

ASUS Z77 Sabertooth

Intel i7-3770k 3.6Ghz
