Random peripherals disconnections

Hmm.. You must have already partitioned your drive for dual booting. Right? I don't think if it will be too bad of an idea to reinstall Windows. You can use this command(CMD) to check for any corrupted Windows system files:

SFC /scannow.

If that doesn't work, I don't know what will.

Since the problem is with the OS, you are left with only option to create a backup of your files and reinstalling Windows.

I have a weird problem of my peripherals randomly disconnecting.

The disconnections occurs with few signs: Mouse suddenly lags out, and stops receiving position, and after 3 or 5 seconds, it will completely disconnect itself and will require a system restart to brought it back to life. The mouse still receives power (The dpi change button works) but the buttons seems to be not giving any commands.

Sometimes my keyboard also disconnects but it's really rare. My drawing tablet seems to be immune from the problem (probably?). I'm still not sure what triggered the problem but it always happens when I played some games, or uses the one USB port that seems to be giving less power than the others.

If I check device managers, there seems to be duplicates of the same drivers type.

I tried :

- Installing all my peripherals drivers except headphone and keyboard

- Switching all ports (and found that one port significantly gives less power than the other but its never been a problem)

- Disconnecting some, and only uses one (Only uses mouse, etc)

- Reinstalling generic drivers

- Installing manufacturer's built-in drivers

- Disabling USB Selective Suspend

And i will try to reinstall windows if there's nothing i could do. I have dual boot which makes reinstalling pretty complicated.

My system:

Keyboard : Digital Alliance Meca Fighter

Mouse : Corsair Harpoon

Headphone : Sades Diablo

Drawing Tablet : HUION H240

Second Monitor : AOC USB powered monitor

Sony VAIO Laptop VPCEG38FG (4x USB 2.0 Ports, Only uses 3 for Keyboard, Mouse and Second monitor)

OS : Oprekin's modified Windows 10 Pro Lite

Processor : Intel Core i5-2450M @ 2.50GHz

GPU : NVIDIA  Geforce 410m

BIOS : InsydeH20 Version 03.61

Memory : 8192MB, and 973MB VRAM,

Hey folks, I'm new in LTT and I'm not really sure how to explain my problem as clear as the people here did it. So please tell me if my question is unclear.

Thank you for your attention! :D

Have you tried removing/disabling the extra drivers? Do they reappear after reinstalling the mouse? I think it is safe to disable the drivers because Windows can do the job of getting the drivers again itself. You mentioned dual boot. Does this happen in that OS as well? Does this happen only with Mice and Keyboard or everything that you plug in?

I am getting pretty fucking sick and tired of the "watch something else" responses. It's such a cop out answer because you could say that about basically anything, and it doesn't address the actual complaints. People use it as some kind of card they pull when they can't actually respond to the criticism raised but they still feel like they need to defend some company/person. If you don't like this thread then stop reading it. See how stupid it is? It's basically like telling someone "shut the fuck up". It's not a clever responsive, it doesn't address anything said, and it is rude.

Thanks for the reply. I tried removing the extra drivers, I'm pretty sure it just keeps reappearing. This mainly only happens to my mouse, and rarely keyboard. The other OS (Kali Linux) works damn well with everything.

Yep, I'm already prepared for the worst. I'm really certain that the modified windows I use also is a significant factor of this problem. Well, anyway thanks for trying to help!
