I was reading somewhere and if you mount the Koolance block a specific way you can get better temps. My first option was to mount it where the Koolance logo is upside down because of my loop order or mount it where the Koolance logo is Parallel to the RAM slots like in the picture on their website.

Take a look at the way your CPU is aligned and align your block so that the jetplate is along it. For socket 1150, I found it best aligned with the Koolance logo perpendicular to the RAM slots and the temps are proving me right so far. I noticed a 3-4 C change during benching from this alignment compared to how it is in the picture above.

the orientation of the block, flow-path and exit are critical.

orientation: the die is positioned a way, you would want the heat transfer to the cold plate

in the same lineation.

flow-path: goes with orientation. allowing the coolant and internal pins to absorb the

bulk of the die's heat.

exit: ability to allow the air to escape from the block for easier bleed procedure. captured

air in a block reduces the blocks ability to do its job properly.

Just opened the Koolance block, Looks like I need to mount it where the logo is upside down because of my loop order. When I opened it, The center impingement plate on one side has a big black line across it and scratches on both size... O.o
