Noise When Running Xonar Essence STX through Yamaha Studio Monitors During GPU Intensive Games (My Solution)

I was getting a lot of interference from my Xonar Essence STX whilst gaming. The harder the GPU worked the louder the noise was. This only occurred when using my Yamaha HS5 studio monitors, there was no problem with headphones. My successful solution was adding a Audio Noise Suppression Isolation Transformer -> (http://www.ebay.ca/itm/390769085747?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649) into the output chain before the speakers. I was just wondering if anyone had this problem or has a better solution. I had also tried different PCI slot configs with no success.

You were getting a ground loop between your PC and speakers. What you got was the best way to break the loop.
