Network Problem

From last Thursday I have been having network issues on Rocket league. I use a 5GHz wifi connection for internet and it work flawlessly until then. I was experiencing a bunch of teleporting and such. I started using the games network diagnostics and everything was good except that periodically the download stops and starts again 4 seconds after. When I checked task manager I found that indeed there was time that the download stops. It seems to not only effect rocket league because I tried downloading a game from steam and the same happened. Does anybody know from where the issue is coming from?

Interference, maybe? Check the spectrum of your surrounding wifi for interference. 5 GHz are getting widespread nowadays. 

 

Or, use wired connection. It's the most reliable way to play latency-intensive applications somehow.

  1. Run a wireless survey using WiFi Analyzer and post the screenshots of the 'Networks' and 'Analyze' pages (2.4GHz and 5GHz). Highlight your network.
  2. Is any other device using the network at the same time as you? Are any other applications running in the background (e.g. Windows Update) that might be simultaneously downloading stuff?
  3. What is the make/model of your wireless router? How far are you from it? Are there any intervening walls/floors?

On a network analyser app only my network appears across all channels so that rules out network interference.

Other devices does not seem to be effected by this since online games do not stutter.

My router is a Tp-Link Archer C6 bought at the beginning of this year.
