Posted March 9, 2014 Not a build log per se and I apologize in advance for the lousy picture quality.. Case: Silverstone Fortress FT03 Silver Motherboard: Asus Z87 Gryphon + 'Armor kit' CPU: Intel i7-4770KCPU Cooler: Corsair H55Memory: 4 x 8 GB Corsair Platinum 1600MhzSSD: 4 x 128GB Vertex 4 (fakeRaid 0) ODD: Silverstone SST-SOD02 DVD+R 'Slot-in' drive GPU: Inno3D GTX 770 4GB iChill Accelero HybridCase: Silverstone FT03PSU: Corsair AX860i Misc: 2 x 120mm Prolimatech Ultra Sleek Vertex 12 PWM (15 mm thick) 1 x 120 mm Noctua NF-F12 PWM 2 x Akasa SSD & HDD adapter (Fits two 2.5" drives into one 3.5" slot) 4 x Silverstone ultra thin SATA III cables 1 x Akasa SATA extension cable (15 cm) Background: Well, I got tired of my Corsair Carbide Air 540. I needed something smaller that would fit onto my table. So I went with the FT03 For those who aint familiar with the FT03: Front view with both radiators mounted: It's a tight fit. 3-4 mm of space between radiator and RAM module. That's the reason why I chose Prolimatech Ultra Sleek Vertex fans. They are quiet, slim and they are pretty efficient. Far from a clean build. I could have gone with a custom loop but my experience with custom water cooling is very limited. For my own best, I went with pre-filled loops. Behind the motherboard tray and the mounting of four SSDs. Reasonable temps... To show how thin the SATA III cables from Silverstone are. The screw is a standard motherboard screw. Posted March 9, 2014 Great job! How easy was the case to build in? I'm going to be building my dad a computer in that case and am hoping it won't be too much of a pain. Posted March 9, 2014 Author Great job! How easy was the case to build in? I'm going to be building my dad a computer in that case and am hoping it won't be too much of a pain. Thanks :-) In my case it was a bit of a pain to fit both radiators into the case because of the long tubings. Apart from that, I think it's a superb case and very easy to build in. Due to the tight space you will have to mount the parts in a particular order, otherwise you're screwed (I learned that the hard way).. I had to pull the gfx out again to mount the sata cables and one fan. how do you like those slim Silverstone cables? The smaller the better :-) Definitely not the most solid quality but if you handle them with caution, I'm sure they will last for a long time. I don't understand why no one else have come up with this idea earlier. Thin cables like these are perfect for mATX and mITX cases.
