3950X Memory Upgrade

Hey,

 

I have a few months ago upgraded from a 6700K to a 3950X I just kept my 32GB’s of memory from the old build. It is 2133mhz.

I was wondering if there would be any much benefit upgrading memory now or will it not make much difference? Ie getting faster memory.

Faster RAM can make a big difference (depending on the application).

 

I for example I overclocked my 2400MHz RAM of my AMD Ryzen 5 1600X to 2866MHz (+466).

Bevor that I scored 2688 points in Cinebench R20 and with the OC RAM I score now 2753 points.

On the other side I didn't see any improvement in games, that said, I'm heavily GPU bound (GTX 1050 ti).

 

Maybe that helps you, but I definitely would upgrade, especially now that RAM is really cheap
