Hello hello, so i decided to upgrade from 16 GB (8x2) to 32 GB (8x4) RAM and i ran into a few issues:
I cant use the default XMP Profile as it will just not boot and bluescreen me instantly...
If i do run it without XMP i only run at 2133 Mhz and even then its not stable at all...
here are my specs:
AMD 3700X
Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite
The RAM is a G.Skill Trident Z Black and white (DDR4-3200 8GBx2 CL16-18-18-38 1.35V)
Ive also since figured out that the new pair of the same ram was made by Samsung where as the old pair has Hynix Chips.
The timings are the same according to their packages. Ive also made sure to run The Hynix and the Samsung in their respective channel and ive left the Hynix in the configuration they were in before i added the new RAM.

If you need any more info please just ask and thanks for helping me!

A couple of things:

  • Have you tried loading optimized defaults in your UEFI?
  • Have you tried with only the new RAM kit?

One manufacturer might use memory dies from different memory vendors (like Kingston, Samsung, SK Hynix), which might have ever-so-slightly different voltage requirements, since they do come off of different process nodes. This is why getting a full kit of RAM in your desired capacity is so widely recommended, since the entire kit is validated together.

I havent tried with only the new ram kit. Yes as stated i got one kit with Hynix dies and one with Samsung dies they have the exact same timings according to the packaging and my uefi also tells me they are the same. As i am using the same memory per channel i think it should be fine given that it should in theory be possible to use 2 different kits altogehter. Ill try using the optimized defaults and will be back shortly!

Ok ive fixed the problem... Turns out it can have an impact on what channels you put the ram in... I first had the Hynix RAM in the 1 and 3 slot which worked fine when i added the Samsung RAM to the 2 and 4th slot it wouldnt work beyond 2133 Mhz and also sometimes cause BSOD.

Ive tried it with only the samsung ram and it worked fine with 3200 Mhz then i was like meh.. might aswell try putting the Hynix in the 2 and 4th slot with the samsung at 1 and 3rd and now it works flawlessly i already ran a memtest and it seems like everything is fine now...

Its kind of a weird fix but i guess its sensitive to everything ...

Is 2 of the ram Mhz same and is the motherboard capable with that ram that you buy?

Aydin as i said in the topmost post its basically the same ram but the chips were manufactured by Samsung and Hynix it was sold as the same ram too ...
