Jumpstart PSU

Hi i have an old All in One PC. I'm planning to use a PC PSU and a PC Graphic card on it so that i can run an old GTX 1060 6GB on it. So i was doing some testing and i found out that i have to jumpstart my psu in order for the psu to run every time that i have to turn it on.
so i was wondering if jumpstarting the psu occasionally will damage either the psu or aio pc.
please let me know your experience if you have done this before.

When you say jump start, I assume you mean shorting the Green power with a black Ground pin on the PSU? If that's the case, should be fine. It's how I ran my mining rigs back in the day.
