I've been wondering the same myself lately. I think the point is not to mess about though. The conclusion I have drawn is that if I want SSD performance then I should just buy an SSD, which I intend to. I do need some extra storage space aswell though so will pick up a cheap TB HDD aswell.

Although it does retail for about £170 which is about £20 more than buying a seperate SSD and HDD. I think it's justified, but I still will buy separate devices. I don't like the idea of the HDD portion failing, or likewise the SSD portion failing and it being a nightmare to fix.

Stay away from that junk. Just buy seperate ssd and hdd
