Hello Technicians, 

My laptop Acer Nitro 5, suddenly became dead. A few days before dying, the laptop screen just used to freeze. (Keyboard used to work though, having a backlit keyboard I could check that) But then the laptop went completely dead. I sent it to the service center, and they are telling me that the MOSFET keeps on blowing up. They said, whenever the put in a new one and turn on the laptop, it works. But when they shut it down and restart it, the MOSFET gets blown.
They have no idea of the problem and are asking me to pay for display cable, keyboard, and battery so that they can figure out the problem. Please help me.

That's because the problem wasn't the MOSFET,but somewhere else.

They seem like charlatans that have no idea what they are doing,so they hope that by replacing all of those things it will magically fix the issue.

To me it sounds like a problem in the powerlines,the MOSFET gets blown by high voltage and/or from overheating by high current.

Either way they have to trace it with a multi-meter and use their head because you need to do some calculations.

It's a bit problematic without schematics but it's possible.

If you can get the schematics for it it will make the job much easier.
