Keyboard Keys Don't work!

I have a Dell 7577 and some of the keys on the keyboard don't work properly. I need to press the keys hard to get them working. And they magically work normally sometimes(I don't need to press hard).I tried plugging in an external keyboard and it did work. Also I noticed that the screen gives some sporadic flashes. And it goes away when I turn of the screen and turn it back on. I'm guessing it's the motherboard issue. Can anyone please help?
