Hello, I'm currently kind of broke, with some 400 dollars to spend. I need to get my mom a PC, because she is going back to university. What should I buy to get some good performance?

What is your mom going to do with said PC?  Web browse, email, amazon shopping, netflix?  Basic stuff?

Does she need keyboard, mouse, speakers, monitor?

Well, she is going to be rendering some heavy medical apps, she has to do some adobe things , and a very cpu intensive virtual medical lab thing. She will be browsing the internet, using multiple tabs at once. She will also be doing virtual meetings.

400 dollars is not enough for CPU intensive stuff. In the US, prices are ridiculously inflated! A ryzen 5 3600 will set you back $210 whereas in the UK, more like £165

Well I'm not look for some bleeding edge kind of stuff. Maybe some 25-30 fps on the heavy stuff. Right now my mom has a 2008 Lenovo IdeaPad n585. It definitely needs to be replaced. She can't do anything on it. I don't care if it is a laptop or an older PC, but it just needs to run better than that. It takes over an hour to boot up. and opening chrome is a nightmare.

Ok, something like this would be best. When is she going back to university? Because the new AMD APUs should be aviliable to buy in the next couple of months.
