UltraWide for 3080

I'm looking to build a new PC from scratch based off of 3080.  Nearly everyone I talk to says UltraWide is the true way to go with PC gaming.  Most Ultrawide monitors, from what I've researched, are going to be equivalent to 1440p/120-144hz.  My Monitor budget is around $1K.  For 3080, combined with a next gen AMD 4000 CPU, which UltraWide monitor do you guys recommend?  I definitely want 120 fps.

I have actually considered that monitor (LG),  but I was struggling between that monitor and the Alienware Aw3420.  Do you know anything about the Alienware as opposed to the said LG?
