Logitech G-Hub question

NadeMagnet69

Looking to replace my G105 keyboard that's about ready to crap out. I also have a G700s wireless mouse that I loooove. Looking to replace the keyboard with the G815 that uses Logitech's G-Hub instead of their older program called gaming software. On Tomshardware there is a sticky that says G-Hub MAY support older devices, but mostly it was about how running both the gaming software and G-hub together might cause issues. So looking for any of you G700s mouse owners out there who can answer this for me. I'll get some other brand of keyboard before I replace this mouse. In my opinion Logitech hasn't made a better one than the G700. I mean it's selling for 300 bucks and there is at least some people willing to pay that much for it. So obviously I'm hardly the only one who loves it so much.

seriously its literally non functional for me. im glad the only thing i have is a g502. logitech gaming software wasnt good either but it at least worked. if you cant run both without issues (unlikely that youd be able to) i wouldnt take any chances with g hub.

You can't run legacy Logitech Gaming Software and Logitech G-Hub in tandem together, the legacy LGS will complain that you have G-Hub running and will force you to use G-Hub.

G-Hub is frankly a shitty successor to the Logitech Gaming Software, but in my experience, it's not posed a lot of problems apart from a few road bumps with re-mapping buttons and keying in DPI settings.

I own a G305 and G502 and they can both run on either software, as long as the other is uninstalled and no trace of the other is on the computer. They have to be separated at birth.

I only need it to be able to set DPI as well as program buttons. Don't care about anything else it can do like profiles and automatic game detection and what not.

I really like the low profile of g815 so I might end up getting it by the end of the year anyways. If I do I'll update this thread with the results.
