Will the length of a usb extension cable affect the latency of a Logitech mouse or keyboard?

I have a G-pro Wireless and Logitech G613 keyboard. I run my computer in my closet about 5 feet away from my desk.

I've read elsewhere, that over 9 feet will make the usb 3.0 cable lose signal.

I bought 10 foot usb 3.0 cables (so I can cable-manage them easier) and a powered belkin usb 3.0 hub to place near my setup where I have the USB dongles for the keyboard and mouse plugged into. The g-pr0 and g613 manual suggests that the mouse be within 20 CM.

here is the cable i bought... usb 3.0 10 foot cable

Should I plug the USB dongles into the front IO of my computer? Or should I buy the 6 foot cable instead? Or should I just use the 10 foot extension cable, plus usb 3.0 hub in my current setup?

This is my first post on the forum. Thanks

Tanner

practically, no, it either works or it doesn't. no perceivable latency. but signal might be lost if it's too long of an extension (then it wont work)

and a hub does not add perceivable latency as well.

im using "practically" and "perceived" because theoretically it does add some latency, but it's not noticeable.

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

the cable length video, around 3:57 is where it seems the powered usb hub "could bridge the gap" so technically I have surpassed the recommended length, but I wonder if the powered USB hub is actually fixing that issue.

As you mentioned, Moonzy, the perceived loss of latency is something I wont notice. The theoretical possibility isn't reassuring, and makes me want to get shorter extension cables haha.

Do you know anyone who has tested the signal loss for a logitech mouse via distance?
