What mb for 3080

So, I was thinking I would buy a PC with the new NVIDIA GPU's as well as wait for the new AMD series to see whats  the best deal for me. But my original plan was to get the msi b450m for good compatibility with ryzen cpus. Just wondering, if that should stay the same with the new gpus/cpus

If you're getting a 3080 why get a low budget board? Go for an X570 board to take advantage of PCI 4 and a Ryzen 7 CPU

Doesn't a b550 board come with a PCIe 4.0 slot? Are there any benefits for x570 other than two PCIe 4.0 slots?

It does, the lanes that are wired to the cpu are gen 4, the chipset itself is gen 3. 

What are you planning on powering? Budget? 

And for the most part wait for ampere to actually release and check if it saturates x16 gen 3, but I doubt it will.

oh sorry im not very  knowledged on this stuff. Thank you for the advice i'll definitely be waiting for the new releases.

Not completely sure what you mean. but i plan on going with a 3070 and im still not sure about the cpu. I dont have a fixed budget I just dont want to spend 1300+ i'd like to keep it under that.

well i'd say wait until you actually start planning the build out then make a list and check what ampere has to offer and wait for zen 3 if possible and check what it has to offer.
