It's a way to let your computer crunch numbers for Stanford university. It "folds" proteins. This let Stanford do a lot of calculations, without taking up their supercomputer's time.

stanford send equations to your computer which then solve the equations and the equations are ways to simulate how protiens fold to help keep you healthy or make you sick and the more they learn the more they can learn to cure diseases such as cancers and aides and the likes. hopefully that makes sense and helps
