Building a new PC

Go to solution Solved by nathanyule,

You should wait until the end of the year to buy your components.

1. Like @Hackerman25 said, new GPUs and CPUs are coming out. For nVidia new GPUs are coming out in 2 days, which should drop the price for remaining new GPUs that are in stock (or spike them) and used ones as well. As for AMD, the Zen 2 should look very promising, but if it is underwhelming, you could opt for a last gen CPU.

2. Holiday sales happen in November and December, so that should drop prices like RAM, storage, and peripherals. Some of these holidays include Black Friday and Cyber Monday (better deals).

3. Workers may go back to work and fulfill demand for parts such as PSUs. I am no health expert, so take this advice as a grain of salt (please).

I have been wanting to build a new PC for quite a while now but it seems like graphics cards are so expensive right now. I think this is because of a shortage of VRAM? I would just like to know if I should wait towards the end of the year to buy my components. Thanks for the help!
