Problems with Equalizer software

I have tried equalizer APO and PC equalizer. I installed both the recommended and experimental apo. I made sure audio enhancements were enabled and hardware acceleration was disabled. Both the equalizers have no effect. 

Would appreciate help with this problem, been looking for a working equalizer for a while.
