Reinstalling windows

If you have the bandwidth, using the creation tool is a better idea.  You'll get a newer copy of windows 10 that's more up to date, which means you'll have to do significantly less updating (or none at all) once the OS is installed.

I want to format my PC and install windows home because I have the wrong version (unactivated win 10 pro) on my PC. Do I need to download windows media creation tool and make my own bootable windows USB or can I just use the USB that came with my windows 10 home retail pack? Sorry if this question seems stupid
